Matt McCarthy and his daughter put up lights in their devastated uptown street. McCarthy, a Vietnam veteran who lost all his precious 8mm films and slides from his time as a soldier in the late 60's puts up Christmas lights with his daughter Eileen. McCarthy has had a rough 12 months. He lost a kidney, his wife died of cancer and he lost everything in his home. He and his daughter, the only residents to return to State St Drive in what was flooded 'uptown' put lights on the dead tree in their front yard.
