• 19 January 2019. Paris, France.
Gilets Jaunes - Acte X take to the streets of Paris. Medics prepare for trouble at the end of the demonstration. An estimated 7,000 people took part in the looping 14 km route from Place des Invalides to protest tax hikes from the Government of Emmanuel Macron imposed on the people. An estimated 80,000 people took part in protests across the country. Regrettably the movement has attracted a violent element of agitators who often face off with riot police at the end of the marches which tends to deflect attention away from the message of the vast majority of peaceful protesters.
USA..Law and Order post hurricane Katrina. 2228 MP Company, Louisiana National Guard military Police patrol. 5th District. .With crime beginning to pick up as people return to the city following the destruction of Hurricane Katrina, 300 Louisiana National Guardsmen returned to New Orleans to supplement local police and provide increased cover and back up in parts of the city that remain derelict and thinly populated since the devastating floods. MP's stop to question a suspicious man who turns out to be drunk. He insists on lifting his shirt to show the MP's unhealed gunshot wounds. The man needs serious medical attention but refuses to accept an offer of assistance and stumbles away into the night. The MP's insisted he be taken for treatment and eventually the man was treated, undoubtedly saving his life. Photo; Charlie Varley

Lakeside Mall. A potentially controversial/satirical Christmas display is part of the main festive attraction at the mall created by local designer Frank Evans. Part of the display, (complete with a miniature train ridden by children) features an 'Affordable Health Care Hospital.' (Bottom right of image). Standing in line are model customers apparently holding out paperwork, possibly health care bills. Also included is a hearse, coffin, corpse and a strange looking man in a bright orange jump suit along with what would appear to be a migrant worker wearing a sombrero sitting in the back of a pickup truck. Evans was also responsible for a fairly controversial display in 2005 following hurricane Katrina.
Lakeside Mall. A potentially controversial/satirical Christmas display is part of the main festive attraction at the mall created by local designer Frank Evans. Part of the display, (complete with a miniature train ridden by children) features an 'Affordable Health Care Hospital.' Standing in line are model customers apparently holding out paperwork, possibly health care bills.
